Carp fishing holidays in France
St. Leonard’s carp lakes are two beautifully matured lakes set in their own 23 acres of private surroundings. We are situated between the pretty village of Ranes and the larger town of La Ferte Mace which holds a market every Thursday and has a variety of supermarkets and local produce shops. The region is especially beautiful and is included in the Normandy National Park area that has its own large forests with designated trails and traditional French towns to visit. It is an ideal destination for your Carp fishing holiday in France.The main lake is 10 acres and will accommodate six anglers comfortably. This lake has been stocked every year with carp since we arrived in 2006. There is now over 200 carp in this lake with best carp weight standing at 62lbs. There is a large head of 30s and 40s including both commons and mirrors. There is also an original stock of grass carp, that have gained weight each year, with weights now to 30lb+. This lake will be stocked again for the 2012 season.
Two separate swims, with their own undercover seating area, that offer quiet, close-in fishing along with the possibility of easy casting distance and baiting up.
We supply all nets, mats and weigh slings to anglers so there is no need to bring your own. You can also charge bait boats, mobiles etc on site securely. Internet access is now available for wireless enabled devices in the cafe area.
St. Leonard’s offers everything that anglers need to enjoy a comfortable break away in a beautiful and diverse area of France. We are also in easy travelling distance from all the major ports.
2012...Spring Big hits
Below are some of the bigger fish that have come out in the early season this year. The season has got off to a flying start, with PB's for several of our guest fishermen in the first quarter of 2012.
We have continued to stock the main lake introducing several new 40's.
Our home rolled 'coconut' baits have been responsible for fooling some of the larger and rarely seen 40's on the lake, and we keep seeing new 40's..fish that have grown on or have not previously been caught, along with some of the fish that were stocked over the Christmas period.
We have also stocked the back lake with a selection of 20's and 30's, and finished the development of the back lake chalet.

In the Winter of 2010-11, we carried out extensive clearance and dredging work on the back lake, the smaller of our 2 waters.
We have built a new chalet for accomodation on the lake and stocked it with several medium sized catfish, up to 60lb.
There is also an unknown stock of carp in this lake, with several mid 20's coming out this season, as the interest hots up on this water.

New Carp Stocking for 2011
We have recently stocked 13 more carp into the main lake at St Leonards Carp fishery, ranging from 25lb to 35lb, (11.3kg-15.8kg) which a re a mixture of common and mirror carp.
